What’s the difference between A, B, and C services?

“A”: Service Oil Change and Inspection:

An ‘A Service’ is a 10,000 mile or 1 year interval Oil and Inspection Service.

Tire pressures will be set and digital monitors reset. Upon completion the Service Indicator will be reset to factory specifications. Synthetic Oils will be used if required by manufacturer. An ‘A Service’ will cost you approximately $186.45* based on 8 quarts of Synthetic Oil and Includes Oil Filter. Note: Price reflects Red Carpet Member Enrollment. Add/Remove $10.00 per quart additional or less depending on your engine capacity. Pricing Excludes Diesel Engines.

“B”: Service Oil Change and Inspection:

An ‘B Service’ is a 20,000 mile or 2 year interval Oil and Inspection Service.

All fluids will be checked and adjusted as needed. Tire pressures will be set and digital monitors reset. Upon completion the Service Indicator will be reset to factory specifications. Tires will be rotated if needed. Windshield wipers, Cabin, and Engine filters will be inspected and labor to replace will be included in Service B Cost if needed. Any parts needed will be additional. Brake Pad wear will be checked as well as an in-depth multi point inspection. Lubrication of latches, hinges, and most exposed moving parts such as sunroof will be done as well. (Parts Additional). Synthetic Oils will be used if required by manufacturer. A ‘B Service’ will cost you $295.45* based on 8 quarts of Synthetic Oil and Includes Oil Filter. Note: Price reflects Nomad Red Carpet (RC) Member Enrollment. Add/Remove $10.00 per quart additional or less depending on your engine capacity. Pricing Excludes Diesel Engines.

“C”: Flexible Maintenance:

A service no longer in use.

Some vehicles may display C Service, D Service, or E Service Etc… This is a flexible service system designed by the manufacturer that is no longer in use. Services are generally A or B Services. The additional items performed in C, D, or E Services are judged by time and or mileage and performed during regular A or B Services. The determination of what is needed will be evaluated during an A or B Service and reported back to you for approval before work begins.

(Suspension Faults) Hydraulic, Air, or Conventional including Airmatic / ABC Light

Airmatic (Air Suspension Program) and ABC (Active Body Control) are two of Mercedes-Benz most popular active suspension systems. Problems with these systems require immediate service.

Airmatic (Air Suspension Program) and ABC (Active Body Control) are two of Mercedes-Benz most popular active suspension systems. Problems with these systems require immediate service. Possible failures may be Air or Hydraulic Shock / Strut / or Springs. Air or Hydraulic Pumps. Valve blocks or leaky lines or hoses. The biggest problem with these type of faults is that since the suspension plays a major role on handling and vehicle control, failure can cause a driver to lose control and cause an accident. Also damage to vehicle fenders or body panels can occur if vehicle drops too low. Use caution when turning the wheel if this occurs to prevent body damage until you can bring your vehicle in for a diagnostic check. NOTE: Air Suspension leaks can cause premature failure of relays and electrical air pumps since these pumps are running beyond their recommended usage to keep up with the leak. No Start / Crank No Start

No Start Conditions can be tricky. It can be as simple as a battery or alternator issue or as complicated as an electrical sensor fault telling the computer to turn off the fuel pump due to an unsafe starting or running condition.

There are many different forms of Traction Control in today’s luxury vehicles; such as ESP (Electronic Stability Program) and ABS (Antilock Braking System).

B Service is a 20,000 mile or 2 year interval Oil and Inspection Service. All fluids will be checked and adjusted as needed. Tire pressures will be set and digital monitors reset. Upon completion the Service Indicator will be reset to factory specifications.
